No news on Hello I Must Be Going distribution deal.....

There is, I'm sorry to say, no news on a distribution deal, temporarily scuppering her chances of progressing towards leading lady status, something that she Tweeted me as not being concerned about getting, but I still remain undaunted in my belief that she has long been due for promotion in terms of her film career. A talented performer like her shouldn't have to be beyond the reach of circumstances that could elevate her to bigger, better things. Since it is getting increasingly unlikely that I will get any news regarding a distribution deal for the first American film that she has the lead role in before Monday, or Tuesday at the latest, I hope that the movie will find a distributor outside of Sundance.

Still no word on a distribution deal for 'Hello I Must Be Going'....

I am sorry to have to report that the independent and major film studio executives who came to the 2012 Sundance Film Festival to negotiate distribution deals for the movies being shown here have not yet made one for 'Hello I Must Be Going', the first film that has Melanie Lynskey as the lead performer since 'Heavenly Creatures'. So far, twenty-four films have been officially picked up by various movers and shakers in the motion picture industry, but, until I receive reports to the contrary, the movie with her as the principal cast member has turned out not to be on the list. The IMDB says that the list is not yet the final one, and that further updates may occur, but the last one was four days ago, and the number of cinematic delights or duffers remains unaltered. I have been tryiung to acquire information regarding this matter via Twitter and by means of adding comments to the higher profile movie blogs which are doing daily reports on this year's annual Sundance festival, and I will do my upmost to keep you posted on any updates that I get to hear or read about.
