A month and one week's worth of waiting and asking repeatedly for the latest info on a distribution deal for 'Hello I Must Be Going', I can now officially announce that Oscilloscope Films have purchased North American distributory rights for Melanie Lynskey's first film in the lead. In all honesty, I would have preferred the Weinstein Company, Lionsgate or IFC acquire it: I had never heard of Oscilloscope before today. But a distribution deal with a tiny film studio is better than no distribution deal at all. I am now more surer in my hope that this movie will finally provide Lynskey with her long overdue big breakthrough.
